Barrel Aged Coffee

Finally....my first cup of coffee

I just discovered this small Texas coffee roaster and am in love with the Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee. It is smooth and silky, and you pick up the notes of smoke and whiskey from the barrel. I was never a coffee drinker, but this one is delicious hot or as a cold brew treat with a touch of vanilla syrup. This coffee actually tastes like it smells....delicious!

I saw these guys at the Nebraska State Fair. They entered their coffee into a food and beverage competition. I was intrigued! I tried to sample at the booth and was immediately sold. The next morning, I ground up some beans and my whole kitchen was encompassed with the fantastic aroma of coffee and just the right amount of whiskey! The flavor profile to me is like a great Mexican Bean with an ounce of bourbon in it. Ha ha! It has a great mouth feel. Whereas the oils on the Bean don’t leave your tongue feeling dry like some roasts do. Get y’all some!
