Imani Locking Spray is a non-negotiable in my microloc routine! It’s the only styling spray I use on my microlocs, whether I’m interlocking to compact frizz or creating a style.
I use it for everything: braid-outs, perm rod sets, flexi rod sets, sponge roller sets, and braid-and-curl styles. It holds up against humidity, provides a strong hold without stiffness, never leaves my hair looking dull, and washes out easily without that annoying sticky feeling.
As a cosmetologist and microloc specialist, I also recommend it to my clients! For those who want a neater, more polished look, Imani works beautifully alongside interlocking and loc smoothing techniques to help manage frizz. I also consider it a secret weapon for styling longer locs, especially when creating curls and defined sets.
This product is a DIAMOND! If you love styling your locs, Imani Locking Spray deserves a spot in your routine!

I honestly had my doubts at first but.... This spray exceeded my expectations. I'm sorry for even doubting if it would work lol. I do have to use just a little more for my thick locs though. When I use to retwist my own hair, it would barely hold up past 2 days. It has been almost a week now with this spray and they are still holding!

Great hold
I interlock but will retwist the front for styles between interlocking. This spray is a moisturizer with a fantastic hold. I don’t need to use any gels. I sometimes use this as an edge control for my edges with a brush and place a scarf for a few minutes. When I get my hair done, I take this with me and my stylist uses it instead of her gels because they all make my scalp very itchy after a day or so.
