Cumberlandite is found in only one place on this Earth, within a 4-acre parcel in Cumberland, Rhode Island. It is believed to be approx. 600 million years old. Back then Rhode Island was part of a volcanic island arc called Avalonia and Cumberlandite formed when one of the Volcanoes erupted. Cumberlandite contains around 24 different mine
