Adapt Modern Spools to Your Vintage Machine

Did not quite fit
The threadstand did not quite fit into the oil hole in my 221 Featherweight! Neither did the threadstand belonging to another person in my quilting group. However I have not given up using it. Guess the oil hole is a tad smaller than some machines. Love your products and customer service.

This seems a bit pricey for what it is, but it will be very useful with the new, larger spools. My husband had to work a little with an emery cloth to get it to fit in the smaller oil hole of my 1935 Featherweight, but he got the job done. I would have been afraid to do that work myself. I wish I had known that there might be metal filing needed, if the hole was too small, or something added if the hole was too large. It does say this in the directions on the package, but not on the description on the website. Basically I am happy with this, and it will be easy to carry in my Featherweight case. If it weren't for the portability issue, however, I would think a separate thread stand would be more versatile (would easily hold much larger cones) and I would have foregone the stress of the end not fitting into the oil hole on my featherweight.
