Loudspeaker spikes are more effective when used in conjunction with Herbie's dBNeutralizer decoupling, especially with wood or suspended floors, whether carpeted or bare. Likewise, if your spikes couple firmly to your cabinet and are themselves solid and relatively free of coloration, they will complement Herbie's Decoupling Gliders very

Cone spike gliders
I have the klipsch rp280f floor standing speakers which were too boomy on my hollow wood tile floors. Plus the tile made the horn tweeter sound harsh. I originally purchased silicone isolation feet which helped a little but the bass was still too boomy not clean. I replaced the silicone feet with the cone spike gliders. They were the brass ones and the regular size. When I received them I laughed to myself thinking there is no way these little pucks would do anything to help my boomy bass and harsh tweeters. Boy was I WRONG. These little pucks clean up the bass where the bass was growling and punchy. And they also removed the harshness from the tweeters. Plus they allow me to move my 62lb speakers with little effort. How these little pucks made such a difference in sound quality baffles the mind.

Cone/Spike Decoupling Glider
I am absolutely thrilled not only with this product but also with dealing with Herbie’s Audio Lab. These sliders are absolutely amazing.
I purchased them to use under my Magico S5 speakers.
Previously I was using IsoAcoustic’s under them but they were impossible to more. I always had wanted to be able to pull them out for critical listening sessions but was unable to do so. Not only am I now able to move the Magico’s around but they even improved the sound more so than the IsoAcoustic’s.
Absolutely thrilled with the performance, they are first class and highly recommended from someone that’s been in the hobby for many years.
Job well done.
