The overall design is great and personally I really like the integrated water bottle pocket. The biggest downside for me is the mixed materials. I could get behind having the nylon on the bottom for higher abrasion resistance, although dirt is going to be caked in easier than if it was xpac. I do have an issue with the back panel not being xpac, it just feels like a decision made on cost and at this price point would have liked to see xpac at least on the back panel. The bag is extremely comfortable and construction is super solid, but it falls a bit short from being the ideal bag.

Versatile & Bomb Proof Construction!
Bought to replace a AER CPP2, Pack arrived well packaged and in reasonable timeframe (Considering where it was coming from)
Had very little time "test driving" the bag before a 2 Week trip to Australia.
Pack was Personal Item on Southwest Airlines, Air New Zealand, Virgin Australia, Jetstar & Delta. No issues fitting under seat on any of above.
On non-travel days the Max EDC performed perfectly as my Daypack!
The overall construction is absolutely Bomb-Proof. The Organization, pockets, admin area, etc.... Was a little unconventional to me at 1st, But I quickly adapted and HAVE fallen in LOVE with the Max EDC.
